Hug-A-Dog Harness Dachshund Coat

This was the third coat I've ordered from Dachshund Delights and I am again extremely pleased. The workmanship is fabulous. The coats are soft and warm and fit perfectly. Thank you from a repeat customer!

Just wanted to thank you for your excellent work on your products. Just received the 2 coats for my kids and have several of your mesh and solid harnesses and a pink raincoat I’ve had for several years that has “Leni” embroidered on the bottom. Your quality and fit and finish are superb and my kids never fail to elicit oohs and aahs when modeling your ware. They make the other “kids” and their parents jealous! I have purchased over the years several items from Dachshund Delights. My first was the Hug a Dog harness. I can't imagine how I ever walked my 3 mini dachshunds without it. More recently, I purchased the harness winter coats. My mini's are short haired and one is a pug/dachshund. They have very thin hair and get cold easily. These coats are great and help keep them warm in the cold Michigan winters when we go for walks. These are the best products out there and I am constantly recommending them.

This is my fourth custom made item from Dachshund Delights - I also have a bag that I had made for carrying my first doxie and two other harnesses. They never disappoint. The quality is top-notch, fit is perfect and I know my dog is secure - and now warm! - in his jacket. Wisconsin winters get so cold and I'm confident now while we're walking that he's happy (as evidenced by his wagging tail!) and warm. And he doesn't roll around trying to get it off like he's done with other jackets. So a huge win!!!

My 11-year-old wirehaired mix likes every aspect of this coat - except the very secure Velcro makes when I take it off. But it fits him very well, and keeps him warm and dry in the snowy weather we've been having. Thanks!

These are wonderful coats! They are attractive, easy to put on and take off, and wash vey well. Our dachshund seems very comfortable in it. We liked the winter coat so much that we ordered a raincoat for spring.

The coat I ordered is beautiful! Better than I expected. The fit is perfect and my dog has gotten quite a few compliments on how cute she is in her coat. My 2 favorite things are the ring in the back to hook the leash on and the latch on the front that keeps her from wriggling out!

We've had several of these coats for our dachshunds over the years, and they fit and work better than any other coat or harness. They are extremely well made, easy to use, sturdy, and stylish--as you can see! The strongly attached D-ring and the neck clasp allow us to walk our dog safely and confidently. Highly recommended!

I’ve been shopping and purchasing these coats for years. And they are always so well made and fit is perfect. The seamstress who made this coat even called me to discuss some changes she’d made to the order and it just turned out beautifully. We could not be more pleased. This particular coat was sown for our new rescue pup who is not a doxie - and they truly do make them for all breeds. It’s important to us to have the D ring on the coat itself so we don’t have to put her harness underneath. Just the best!

Mr. Carter the Dachshund Mix (smooth+wirehaired) received the coat just before the first cold snap of the winter season. I have to admit it's not the most perfect fit (he seems to have put on some weight since we measured him), but I didn't want to send it back when our winter was at its worst. But it keeps him warm and dry, and the leg openings are the right size for him to be comfortable while walking and doing his business. Thanks for making it for us.

I bought this coat for my small standard dachshund. I love that you can get a custom code because coats off the rack just are not long enough for a dachshund. I really appreciate that I can get one specifically for her size and I can choose the colors and patterns. This is the second coat I have purchased and I highly recommend them.

I gets very cold in the winter here in Nebraska. This coat keeps our little Moose comfy and warm while we're out and about. Moose doesn't permit anything to be put on her ears, so this is perfect for her, as it doesn't go on over her ears. She has several Hug-a-Dog Harnesses and this coat goes on just like they do. As usual with your products, the workmanship and quality are first-rate.

I GOT THREE DOGS AND THEY EACH HAVE A WINTER HARNESS AND ALSO A SUMMER HARNESS EACH! WE LOVE THEM AND I ALSO GOT MY NEW DACHSHUND A BED AND SHE LOVES IT! THE LAST ORDER I GOT THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME THE SHIPPING AS THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE ORIGINAL FABRIC I CHOSE SO THEY HAD TO MAKE CHANGES SO I WAITED A BIT LONGER SO THEY DIDN'T CHARGE SHIPPING WHICH I WAS VERY GRATEFUL ! Replaced a hug-a-dog coat I bought more than 10 years ago and nothing was wrong with it, just ready for a change. These coats are just perfect, beautiful fabric and craftsmanship, but most of all a perfect fit and they keep my old girl warm. Would not buy anything else, these are the best.

We've been through about 4 or 5 coats and sweaters for our two dachshunds. These Hug-A-Dog Harness coats are the BEST. It was great to have them custom sized. But they just are so easy to get on/off and are very durable. Best part was no more struggling to get a coat on over a harness since the harness is built right in. And I liked this harness so much better, now that the weather is warm and we can't use the coats, I'm back buying just the Hug-A-Dog harness for them.

Jake has been wearing his Hug-A-Dog Harness Coat for over a month. The flashy blue and purple paisley fabric and teal fleece topped off with purple binding wows the neighborhood ladies (two and four legged). The quality sewing is a given for all Dachshund Delights clothing. Pricing may seem high to casual observers, but to lovers of the long and low, having a harness coat that covers Jake's hind quarters and manly chest perfectly is priceless!!

I ordered one of these for our Molly. Very well made, fits great and it looks good on her. Since the winter was warm she didn't get to wear it too much. Thanks to all the folks at Dachshund Delights

My doxie is so happy with her little raincoat, recently purchased from Dachshund Delights. Covers her entire back and keeps her warm and snug as there is fleece lining. Also a little ring pull for her lead, easy to put on and take off. Thanks Dachshund Delights :) x

We really love this coat! It's very well-constructed and fashionable. I'm thinking of getting a second one for the other mini-doxie Katie. I wish I could share the pictures. I highly recommend this product along with many others from Dachshund Delight!

It is difficult to find a coat to fit our dog. This one fits perfectly. The flexibility to choose the colors rather than settling for what ever is available is great. Customer service was very responsive when we had questions.

I thought this would be a winter coat, but it is more like a warm raincoat. I feel like it is maybe a 35-40 degree coat and Wisconsin gets much colder! Also, I did send correct measurements, but the leg hole is very wide and it exposes a lot of his shoulder and even some of his side not being covered. The strap underneath is further back than I think it should be and rubs a little on his "little boy part" so I worry that might be uncomfortable for him. This is a rat terrier not a dachshund so that could be the issue. I had ordered a sweater for my dachshund several years ago and it fit great which is why I ordered again. The quality itself is good but just not a good fit for my boy, and not as warm as I thought it would be for the price.
