How to Measure
Take advantage of our grab bag (stock sizes) deal to save big! Any FABRIC harness from 14" to 19" chest is $35! Tell us your dog's chest & neck measurements and if the harness is for a boy or girl. Let us choose from our available already-made harnesses. No waiting the usual 2-3 week production time!
NOTE
: We will let you know if your dog's measurements require a custom-fit harness. Not all dogs can wear a stock size.
The Hug-A-Dog Harness® is a form-fitting walking harness that is easy on the dog and the owner. Made of durable, cool, poly-knit mesh as the body of the harness. Easy to put on with hook & loop closures (like Velcro®). No straps. No rubbing or choking. Transfers pulling pressure to chest area. Machine washable and dryable.
The Hug-A-Dog Harness® is the original vest-style harness. If the label doesn't say Hug-A-Dog, it's just a copycat!

Lovely red harness

Millie loves it!
I chose the grab bag to save money. They did a great job picking out a cute harness for my mini-doxie, Millie. It's now her favorite harness - the only one she wants to put on! I love how easy it is & it washes up great after a muddy hike. Sparkle frogs!!!!

Great gift
I bought this harness as a gift for my parent's dachshund after they asked where my dachshund harnesses were from. I bought my two dachshunds their Hug-A-Dog harnesses about 8 years ago and they still work great. Although one is getting a little tight ??. I'll probably either buy new ones for them this year or ask for them for Christmas from my husband.

The only harnesses we use
We love these harnesses and are the only harnesses we use on our Dachshunds. And we have 5 of these little wieners. We know our dogs are safe and secure in these harnesses. And they look fabulous too!!

Better than expected
I love this harness. I picked the grab bag to save a few bucks, and I am not disappointed... love the pattern they chose for my boy. I wasn’t impressed with the seatbelt loop for the car... but it makes a great grab bar when I need to pull him back lol.

Grab some Love
I purchased this as a grab bag item for my two girls. I was not sure if they would like them or destroy them. Well the verdict is in. They LOVE them and have not chewed them or destroyed them. They are very secure. They wash well. I had to come back and buy more where I selected the fabric.

The best harness hands down
I have purchased two of these harnesses for my dogs a piece. I don't want to be without if something happens to one. So far nothing has happened as they are made very sturdy for the stubborn dachshunds they fit. I also have a chiwennie and he is slinder and pulls on walks and these harnesses are great for me keeping control when I walk both dogs. Pure breed stubborn female dachshund and a mix stubborn male chiwennie. So glad I found this company. Harnesses are made to fit your dog not trying to make them fit a general size. Picking the color is also part of the customization of each harness. We love ❤️ our hug a dog harnesses.

Perfect just what was needed!

Best harness ever!!!
I have a mini Dixi that has broken his back 2x and the reg harnesses and collars for not good for him. I came across this website and thought why not can't be any worse. We'll let me tell you these harnesses are the best things ever. I've bought 3 of them and just love them. They fit perfectly and don't dig into anywhere. My Hank just loves them too!! We'll be a repeat customer for years to come. Thank you for such a great product.

Proud dach-a-momma to Oscar, Lucy, Penny (RIP) and now Sammie
To say I was skeptical of this harness is an understatement because I have tried them all! As it turns out, I couldn't have been more wrong. No more harness slipping from side-to-side, needing constant adjustment on our walks and no more rubbing raw spots under Sammie's arms. I ordered from the grab bag with just a brief note on preferences, and the staff made the perfect selection. Just placed an order for 2 more harnesses and 1 cuddler. Great quality, ingenious design, adjustable fit ... PERFECT!

grab bag

Great product, well-made
This is our second set of harnesses, we wore the first set out but they lasted for many years. The construction is still fine, but the velcro doesn't stick very well now. I tried the grab bag version this time, it worked well with a cute purple and black print for our female and a tiger stripe for our male. I highly recommend these harnesses, nothing store-bought will fit doxies as well.

Love them!

Happy puppy,happy owner!
This harness is awesome, Rosie is not choking herself anymore,I have better control of her when she sees a squirrel on our walks and tries to dart after it. I bought a lot of different harnesses in the stores none of them fit my little Doxie right. This one fits her perfect!

Great investment
Dachshunds have unusual bodies. My two are not finished growing so I bought a couple of harnesses from Petsmart they were actually a good brand on clearance. I used them for a couple of weeks noticing that they would get sideways or there legs would come out. Then one day we were out for a walk and it slipped right off. I knew that would NEVER happen with a Hug-A-Dog harness. So I immediately ordered two that day and they were made with a little room to grow. They were my 7th and 8th Hug-A-Dog harness that I have ordered. They last forever and there are some that I have that have been washed a lot as the dachshunds like to run in the lake and get muddy. Thank you for the GREAT PRODUCT.
